Katy Perry and Russell Brand have purchased a new Los Angeles home for $6.5 million, according to property listings.
The couple bought the seven bedroom, nine bathroom home last week. The Spanish-style 8,835 square foot mansion sits on 2.98 acres in the Hollywood Hills, just above the Sunset Strip. The property features a home cinema, a grotto-style swimming pool and a guest/pool house. Photos of the property can be seen here.
The property's former owner was National Lampoon CEO Daniel Laikin, who was incarcerated in 2010 for stock manipulation charges.
The home was also used to film the first season of ABC's reality dating show, "The Bachelor."
In May, the couple put their first home in the trendy Los Feliz neighborhood on the market for $3.3 million. The couple purchased the home in 2009, prior to their October 2010 wedding. Photos of the property can be seen here.
It was rumored at the time that the couple was putting their home on the market because they planned to make New York their permanent residence.
Brand, 35, and Perry, 26, got married on October 23, 2010 in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India, where Brand also proposed to the singer. The two have appeared nothing but blissful since they began dating in September 2009 after the singer performed on the MTV Video Music Awards that were hosted by Brand.
Brand is currently in Miami, FL filming the "Rock of Ages" movie with Tom Cruise and Julianne Hough.
Meanwhile, Perry recently began the North American leg of her "California Dreams" tour, which includes concerts in more than 40 cities. Check out her tour dates here.
