The most recent "Pirates" film is set to sail passed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. It's only the eighth film in history to reach that mark.
Now another ride at the park is serving as inspiration for a new movie. Disney is in early development for a feature film based on the "Matterhorn" adventure ride.
Other ride-to-film projects currently in the works include a new "Haunted Mansion," and "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea."
