OTRC: Nicolas Cage's son Weston Coppola Cage and wife arrested for domestic violence

Nicolas Cage's son, Weston Coppola Cage and his wife Nikki Williams were both arrested on Monday on felony domestic violence charges, according to legal documents obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com.

The newlyweds were brought in to a Los Angeles County jail at 8:30 a.m. PT on July 4. Weston was released later that day after posting the $50,000 bail. At press time, Williams remained in jail on an "immigration hold" until Wednesday, though her manager posted her bail on Monday evening, according to the singer's mother, Mandy Morgan.

"To Nikki's friends and family, Nikki manager posted her bail last night," Morgan wrote on her daughter's Facebook wall. "However, she is still on an immigration hold until tomorrow, I spoke to her today and my heart is going out to my child. Please pray for her and do not believe everything you read and see on the internet. She is a wonderful young woman with a heart of gold and can rise above anything. She is much loved!"

Weston took to his Facebook page to explain the situation has insisted that the fight was a misunderstanding and that his wife was drunk and was "about to hurt herself." He described his injuries, writing "broken beer bottles, a gash on my arm, bite marks, nail mark trails, bruises and a contusion on the back of my head."

"THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HONEY MOON PHASE NOT THE BLOODY MOON PHASE. IM SICK OF BLEEDING FOR MY RELATIONSHIP BUT I WILL FIGHT ON. HANG TIGHT EVERYONE I WILL...MY WIFE...OUT OF JAIL," Weston wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

Weston told reporters, "Don't get married" when leaving jail, E! Online reports.

Cage also wrote on his wife's Facebook wall, "I don't have to bail her out. Most victims of such brutality would keep someone like your sister in jail. But I love her more than anyone and I'm going to bail her out. Don't trigger me with an attitude right now. My heart is broken and I am without MY WIFE BECAUSE OF ALCOHOL. BECAUSE OF A STUPID FERMENTED BEVERAGE."

The death metal singer softened up later in the day, proclaiming his love for his wife and posting 189 photos on his profile, many of the couple together.

"If someone encapsulated our love, making a material powdered pill version of it, it would be the best selling drug," Cage continued. "It would cure people. The down side also stems from the love that we share."

In June, Weston was hospitalized following a fight at a Beverly Hills restaurant, where Weston was reportedly dining with his trainer. E! News said Weston Coppola Cage is in the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

The 20-year-old married musician Williams, 22, in New Orleans last April. Williams announced the engagement a week before the wedding on her Twitter account.

Weston Coppola Cage is the lead singer of death metal band Eyes of Noctum. The group's upcoming album "Narcoma" is slated for release later in the year. Williams is also a musician, hersong "Fly Again" was featured in Gwyneth Paltrow's recent film "Country Strong." She was born and raised in South Africa and lives in Nashville, TN.

Weston Coppola Cage is Nicolas Cage's son from his previous relationship with actress Christina Fulton. The actor has been married three times - the first time to Patricia Arquette, then to Lisa Marie Presley and finally to his current wife, former waitress Alice Kim. The couple has one son, Kal-El, who is named after Superman's birth name.

On April 15, Nicolas Cage was arrested in New Orleans for allegedly assaulting his wife after becoming intoxicated and forgetting where they were staying. The actor was held in custody until his $11,000 bail was posted by Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman.

Weston Coppola Cage appeared in the 2009 film "Raven" and in Nicolas Cage's film "Lord of War." The two also collaborated on a comic book called "Voodoo Child," which was published by Virgin Comics.
