Mick Jagger, 67, singer of the legendary rock group the Rolling Stones has a new supergroup called SuperHeavy, which will be releasing a new album in the fall.

The group includes Dave Stewart, 58, of the Eurythmics, soul singer Joss Stone, 24, reggae artist and youngest son of the late Bob Marley, Damian Marley, 32, and "Slumdog Millionaire" film composer A.R. Rahman, 45.

The group held a listening party at Jim Henson Studios in Los Angeles recently and Jagger said that the group came together with nothing more than "ideas, a few guitar riffs and a few snippets of lyrics," Billboard magazine reports.

"It's not my usual sort of way of working," Jagger said. "You always want to leave some room for improvisation, but you need to have something, some songs, when you walk into the studio. It evolved very quickly. We sat around with our little pads (writing). We did do a lot of jams but it's all coherent and arranged. We just wrote them quickly."

Stewart said that the group recorded 29 songs in 10 days in varying degrees of completion, "Some are an hour and 10 minutes long, some songs are 42 minutes long."

The first single off of the upcoming album was "Miracle Worker," which the band shot a corresponding video for last week. Other tracks include "One Day One Night," "You're Never Gonna Change" and "SuperHeavy." Billboard described the sound as varying from straight reggae to "Indian and Jamaican rhythms" with touches of "street-smart swagger" and "cinematic string" elements.

"It's powerful," Stewart said. "I love musicians from all over the world, but never liked the term 'world music.' That sounds like people knitting with yogurt."

SuperHeavy's debut album is slated for release on September 20.
