Victoria and David Beckham are now the "delighted" parents of baby girl, according to the Associated Press.
Victoria Beckham gave birth at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles at 7:55 a.m. on Sunday and weighed in at 7 lbs, 10 oz. David Beckham's publicist Simon Oliveira wrote about the news on his Twitter page, according to the wire service. "David & Victoria Beckham are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter," Oliveira reportedly said.
While the name of the child has not been released, Oliveira writes that the couple's sons "are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family."
David Beckham brought his family to Los Angeles when he was transferred to the LA Galaxy soccer team. The pair has three sons, 11-year-old Brooklyn, 8-year-old Romeo and 6-year-old Cruz. The two married on July 4, 1999 in Ireland four months after welcoming their first son Brooklyn.
The soccer star talked to reporters last week about expecting a baby girl at a press conference for the LA Galaxy. He said, "You know, it's a whole new different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses... All the clothes [are] ready, the room's ready, so we're all ready for it and all excited."
He recently snapped a photo a Victoria Beckham, a few days before she gave birth. "Took this pic of Victoria while she wasn't looking," the soccer star said about his wife on his Facebook page on Thursday, July 7. "She looks amazing, so close now to the baby being born!"
Victoria is also excited for the new addition to the family and wrote on Twitter on June 30: "David has been downloading music for our baby! Rockabye baby lullaby renditions, so cool! Love The Beatles album!!! X VB."
Victoria Beckham, 37, recently launched a new fashion line called Victoria by Victoria Beckham. She was formerly a member of the girl group, the Spice Girls, and was known as Posh Spice. Her fellow band mate, Emma Bunton, aka "Baby Spice," welcomed a baby boy named Tate with her fiancé, singer Jade Jones on May 6.
