Even Sarah Jessica Parker still gets stage fright. Or set fright.

"I lose my appetite," the 46-year-old "Sex and the City" actress told Vogue magazine in a recent interview. "By Wednesday of the first week on 'I Don't Know How She Does It,' I was sobbing, I was apologizing."

"I was feeling so awful and ashamed, like I had let the director down," she added. "If only they would not tell me when the camera was running, I would be OK. I'm like that two weeks into every movie."

Parker began her on-screen acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in films such as "Footloose," "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and "Flight of the Navigator." She also appeared in Broadway plays such as "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

But her breakout acting role, many would argue, was that of fashionista and writer Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO show "Sex and the City," which was adapted into two movies and which earned Parker an Emmy.

The actress stars opposite Pierce Morgan and Greg Kinnear in "I Don't Know How She Does It," a romantic comedy set for release on September 16. Morgan's own fears on set, Parker said, helped her quell her own.

"He was a nervous wreck," she told Vogue. "Of course, by then I was really relaxed, but I was so comforted by it."

In the film, Parker plays a married, working mother of two who is the breadwinner for her family. In real life, the actress and husband Matthew Broderick, also a seasoned actor, have three children - an 8-year-old son, James Wilkie, and 2-year-old twin daughters, Loretta and Tabitha.
