"It gets ugly," the 23-year-old actor, who plays platinum blond-haired Hogwarts student Draco Malfoy, told OnTheRedCarpet.com correspondent Jacob Burch. "They really tore the place apart. It's kind of like the war on Hogwarts, where everyone comes together for this final sort of battle."

In the movie, whichw was released on Friday, July 15, Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, faces off against the evil wizard Voldemort, portrayed by Ralph Fiennes.

Potter and his friends Hermione Granger, played by Emma Watson, and Ron Weasley, portrayed by Rupert Grint, must find and destroy the last of the horcruxes, which contain fragments of Voldemort's soul, so that he can be made mortal and defeatable.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" is the first movie in the franchise to be released in 3D, although it was converted into the format after filming.

"The actual battle seems to go on for quite a while, which is great," Felton said. "And it looks awesome in 3D as well. It really made the action sequences look incredible."

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" made more than $955 million worldwide. The entire "Harry Potter" film franchise, which is based on the books by J.K. Rowling, has earned more than $6 billion in global box office sales.

Felton's character in the "Harry Potter" films is a cowardly bully who taunts Potter and his friends. Malfoy's father, Lucius, is among a group of powerful Death Eaters who works for Voldemort.

"I really hope to share no qualities with Draco at all," Felton said. "We come fromy very different backgrounds, that's for sure."

Meanwhile, Felton is moving on from the "Harry Potter" franchise. He stars in the new movie "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," previously titled "Caesar, Rise of the Apes," a prequel to the hit sci-fi films.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" also stars Freida Pinto, James Franco and John Lithgow and is set for release on August 5. The film is set in modern times in San Francisco and shows the consequences of human experimentation with genetic engineering - increased intelligence in apes, which brings forth the threat of a power struggle.

Felton also recently filmed a thriller called "The Apparition" with Ashley Greene, who portrayed the vampire Alice Cullen in the "Twilight" films, and Sebastian Stan. It is due to hit theaters in 2012.
