Shannen Doherty of "Beverly Hills, 90210" fame is getting married and is set to wed her fiance, celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko, on a new reality series.
Doherty, 40, and Iswarienko, 37, will star in an unscripted WE tv show that will showcase them planning their wedding, a spokesperson for the cable network confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Entertainment Weekly, which first carried the report, said the series is set to premiere in January 2012 and that its finale will show the couple's wedding. Spokespeople for Doherty and Iswarienko had no immediate comment.
This will mark Doherty's third marriage. She and Iswarienko have been dating since at least 2009. In December 2010, Doherty told People magazine that she would consider getting married again because she wants children.WE tv, a cable channel owned by AMC Networks, airs reality shows such as "Bridezillas" and singer Toni Braxton's series, "Braxton Family Values."
Tori Spelling, who starred with Doherty on "Beverly Hills, 90210" in the 1990s, and her husband, Dean McDermott, have starred in their own several reality shows on the Oxygen network, including the most recent, "Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings."
Doherty reprised her role as Brenda Walsh on the spinoff series "90210" in 2008 and 2009. The former child star has also appeared on shows such as "Charmed" and "North Shore."
In the 1990s, Doherty was engaged to Chicago real-estate manager Chris Foufas and to Dean Factor, Max Factor cosmetics company heir.
At age 22, Doherty married Ashley Hamilton, son of actor George Hamilton, in September 1993. Her husband was 19. The wedding took place in the back yard of her rented Los Angeles home just weeks after she and "Breakfast Club" actor Judd Nelson broke up.
Months later, in April 1994, Doherty filed for divorce. It was finalized that November.
In the 1995 Kevin Smith comedy film "Mallrats," Doherty's character becomes involved in a sexual relationship with the villain Shannon Hamilton, who is played by Ben Affleck.
In January 2002, Doherty married actor Rick Salomon. Their marriage was annulled in May 2003.
Weeks earlier, Doherty and Paris Hilton made headlines when they fought over Salomon in a nightclub. Hilton, an heiress and reality star herself, and Saloman had videotaped themselves having sex in 2001. The footage hit the Web in 2003, weeks before the debut of her reality show "The Simple Life," and made Hilton famous.
In 2010, Doherty competed on "Dancing With The Stars" in 2010 with actress Pamela Anderson, who had wed Salomon in 2008. Their marriage was also annulled within months.
