After a major cast shake-up on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" following the departure of Laurence Fishburne in June, one familiar face might be returning to the Las Vegas Crime Scene Investigators unit in the fall.
Actress Jorja Fox will reportedly return to the series during season 12 to reprise her role as Sara Sidle as a series regular, according to TVLine.
Fox had been a regular on the show for the first seven seasons of the series before leaving at the beginning of season 8. She returned to the series periodically for guest appearances since then.
The actress and the show's network, CBS, have not commented on the report.
It was previously reported that Ted Danson has signed on to the long-running drama series to replace Fishburne.
The 63-year-old actor will play the role of a new CSI Supervisor for the graveyard shift at Portland's crime lab on the show, which is the most-watched TV series in the world.
"You can create a new character on the page, but until the perfect actor comes along and breathes life into it, it's just words," CSI executive producer Carol Mendelsohn said in a press release. "We're very excited Ted Danson came along."
