The movie stars Chris Evans as Captain America, who is the latest from Marvel Comics to make it to the big screen.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" took second place with $48 million.
The comedy starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, "Friends with Benefits," was third with $18.5 million.
