Olivia Wilde has rejoined the dating world, following her divorce from Italian prince Tao Ruspoli but admitted recently that she doesn't understand modern courtship.
"Dating is new to me," Wilde told Nylon magazine in their August issue. "I see the whole thing like someone who's been in a coma and I've come out like, 'Wait, people text message? They text love? How do you text about love?' Three Xs and a smiley face? Emoticon? Deal breaker!"
Wilde, 26, was married to Ruspoli, 35, for eight years and announced their separation in February. The couple met through friends and eloped on a school bus in 2003, when Wilde was 18-years-old. This was the couple's first marriage.
After the divorce, the actress told Nylon that she self-medicated with food and gained too much weight to fit into her favorite jeans, "they were the kind you would put on and swoosh around in, but then I got a divorce and self-medicated with food."
The "TRON: Legacy" and "House" star filed divorce papers on March 3 in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences.
The actress is currently living in the home previously owned by the Jonas Brothers and said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that she believed the singers had put a "no sex hex" on the property.
"We blame the Jonas Brothers for the lack of action in our house," Wilde told Jimmy Kimmel, Us Weekly reports. "It's the 'No sex hex,' Jimmy! Can't do anything about it."
Wilde told the host that the pop stars left life-size cardboard cutouts of themselves in the garage, "I didn't even have to pay extra," Wilde joked. "Sometimes I wake up, and my roommate has placed one standing over me."
Wilde was romantically linked Ryan Gosling, according to recent reports. The actors were reportedly spotted walking hand-in-hand at a Cincinnati aquarium and "getting cozy at a Golden Globes after party" in January.
Wilde was also romantically linked to Justin Timberlake, but denied the relationship on her Twitter page, writing "Cool it, honeybadgers. We are just friends and have been for years."
The actress rose to fame starring on "The O.C.," where she had a lesbian relationship with Mischa Barton's character. She currently stars as Thirteen on "House M.D." and was seen last year in "Tron: Legacy."
Wilde next appears in "Cowboys & Aliens." which opens in theaters on July 29 and also stars Harrison Ford and "James Bond" actor Daniel Craig. She will also appear opposite Ryan Reynolds and Jason Batemen in "The Change-Up," which is slated for release on August 5.
