Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey won't be going the "Newlyweds" route, but their recent wedding was filmed for a TLC two-hour special which airs on July 30.
The program, called "Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding," will debut on Saturday, July 30 at 9 p.m. ET and promises to capture "the excitement and anticipation as Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo plan their ceremony with their family and friends," TLC said in a statement. "In this exclusive television event, viewers are invited along to the actual wedding to help celebrate as the couple becomes husband and wife."
The 37-year-old pop singer and host of NBC show "The Sing Off" and Minnillo, who is 30 and is the new co-host of ABC's "Wipeout," married on Friday, July 15.
The ceremony took place before some 35 guests on Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson's private island paradise in the British Virgin Islands. The couple enlisted celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks to pull the wedding together in two months.
The bride wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier gown and the groom donned a Dolce & Gabanna suit. Their guests were told to pack for an "island chic wedding and bring their passport," Jen Garcia of People magazine told "Good Morning America" (see a clip below).
Lachey and Minnillo became engaged in November 2010 after dating on and off for at least three years. They went public with their relationship soon after she appeared in his music video "What's Left of Me," which was released in 2006. The clip depicts Lachey's marriage and divorce to fellow pop singer Jessica Simpson, who is played by Minnillo.
Lachey and Simpson were married between 2002 and 2006 and have no children together. The two starred on the MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," which documented their married life together. The wedding of Lachey and Minnillo will also be televised - as part of a TLC network special.
Minnillo had told OnTheRedCarpet.com that the two wanted to get married before 2012. Both she and Lachey have said they want to have children.
"We want to have a family and we're very excited about that, so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't take too long," Lachey had told OnTheRedCarpet.com in mid-June. "At least that's my hope. I'm getting up there. I gotta start pumping them out."
