"Jersey Shore" returns for its fourth season on Thursday, bringing the eight rowdy cast-members to Florence, Italy.
The hit MTV series is slated to air at 10 p.m. ET on August 4 and will see the gang fist-pumping abroad. In a sneak peek video for the upcoming season (watch below), Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is shown crashing into two police officers, a fight between Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro lands one of them in an ambulance and the girls get attacked by pigeons.
In the new season, the cast work in an Italian pizzeria and try to maintain their schedule of G.T.L., or gym, tanning and laundry, which might prove difficult with the language barrier.
Before their arrival in Florence, the city's mayor Matteo Renzi issued several rules, including that they could not film in historic or cultural landmarks and that the cast could not be filmed drinking in public or in bars that served alcohol.
"Jersey Shore" was one of the top-rated cable shows of 2010. The series depicts a group of party-loving, self-proclaimed "Guidos and Guidettes" and has become a pop culture phenomenon.
The cast is set to return to the show's original location, Seaside Heights, New Jersey, for filming of the fifth season. Production for the new season began in late June, shortly after the cast returned from Italy.
Three of the show's cast members also have their own shows in the works set to air in 2012.
The network announced in April that they will build the "Jersey Shore" franchise with two new programs starring Snooki, Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio, which will begin production later in the year.
