Kim Kardashian is going big for her August 20th wedding to NBA player Kris Humphries, and apparently that includes a 10-tier wedding cake, fit for a Duchess.
In June, Kardashian's sister Khloe joked that her sister's nuptials would "be like the Royal Wedding," but a source says she's specifically chosen her cake to resemble Prince William and Kate Middleton's cake.
The couple was spotted shopping for wedding cakes in Los Angeles last week and on Thursday, it was revealed that Kim went with a cake similar to the Royal Wedding's multi-tiered fruitcake with cream and white piping.
The chosen cake will reportedly cost between $15,000 and $20,000 and will look similar to the one served at the April 29 affair, but Kardashian and Humphrie's will have white cake (instead of fruitcake) with chocolate-chip icing and black-and-white decorations, according to Us Weekly.
And in case Kardashian doesn't have enough pressure planning her wedding, her mother Kris Jenner has said she is looking forward to more grandchildren.
"I would love more grandchildren," Jenner told Us Weekly. "[Kourtney Kardashian's son] Mason is the love of our lives, and he is so much fun, but there's only one Mason to go around. It would be nice if we had some more."
Khloe and her husband Lamar Odom have been vocal about trying to get pregnant on their show "Khloe & Lamar" and Kim Kardashian admitted on "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami" that she is excited to have children as well.
"I seriously thought by the time I was 30, I would have one [baby] and a bun in the oven," Kardashian said earlier this year. "I cannot wait to have a baby just like [Mason]."
A two-part E! special "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event," will air in October, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The first part will air Sunday, October 9 at 8 p.m., while part two will air on Monday, October 10 at 9 p.m. The episode will feature all the planning leading up to the event, to the couple's wedding on August 20.
Kardashian celebrated her bachelorette party in Las Vegas on July 23 and ended up crashing Humphries' bachelor party. The 30-year-old reality star celebrated her final few weeks of single life at Tao Las Vegas with friends and sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.
Kardashian and Humphries began dating in December 2010 and the basketball player proposed in May with a $1 million, 20.5 carat engagement ring.
