Taylor Swift has released her new song and music video, "Sparks Fly," which shows footage from her current "Speak Now" tour.
The 21-year-old Grammy-winning country and pop singer has wowed audiences this summer with her romance-themed U.S. concerts that include stunning costumes, ballet dancers, pyrotechnics, high-wire aerialists and a wedding scene.
"Sparks Fly" is the fifth single from "Speak Now," Swift's third studio album. The record has sold more than 3 million copies in the United States since its October 2010 release.
In July of this year, Swift's "Speak Now" tour, aimed at promoting the album, sold more tickets via vendor TicketsNow than any other music artist, bumping McCartney, 69, to second place.
Swift's tour accounted for 6.3 percent of all concert tickets sold on TicketsNow, while McCartney's "On The Run" tour came in at 5.7 percent. U2 was No. 3 with 4.6 percent, Katy Perry placed fourth with 4 percent and Lil Wayne was No. 5 with 3.4 percent. In June, McCartney's tour sold the most tickets via the vendor, while Swift came in second. However, she was No. 1 in April as well.
Currently, the average price of a Swift concert ticket is about $72.30, while McCartney fans paid an average of $137.67 to see the former Beatles member perform in major cities in North America during his recent tour, Pollstar.com reported.
Sales of Swift's concerts on the TicketsNow made up 2.3 percent of all tickets sold overall, placing sixth after the Boston Red Sox. The U.S. Open Tennis Championship was the top-selling event in July overall, making up 19 percent of all ticket sales on TicketsNow.
