Blood drive to be held for injured LA firefighter

LOS ANGELES

Tim Larson was not on duty at the time, but was working at the alternative-energy business his family partially owns. Investigators say the explosion happened during a hydrogen transfer.

Larson reportedly lost an arm and a leg in the accident. Two other workers were also injured, one critically.

The blood drive is being held at the Providence Blood Donor Center, located at 15031 Rinaldi Street in Mission Hills.

Walk-ins will be accepted, but those wanting to donate are encouraged to schedule an appointment at (818) 847-4433 or online at phcmc.givesblood.org.
