Tina Fey, head writer and star of "30 Rock," welcomed her second child, daughter Penelope Athena on Wednesday.
A representative for the 40-year-old actress confirmed the news to People magazine. Fey is also the mother of five-year-old daughter Alice with her husband Jeff Richmond, 50, who works as a composer on "30 Rock."
Fey and Richmond met at Chicago's Second City comedy club and dated for seven years before marrying in June 2001.
The Emmy-winner recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she wanted to be surprised by her baby's gender, joking, "I'm just going to see what it chooses to wear to prom."
Fey announced her pregnancy on an April episode of the "Oprah Winfrey Show," while promoting her autobiography, "Bossypants."
"My husband and I really decided that we felt rather than risk having '30 Rock' end in several years and feeling like part of our family is missing that we were going to prioritize our family," Fey told Oprah Winfrey at the time.
"30 Rock" began in 2006 and is loosely based on Fey's experiences on the NBC sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live." The show has won 14 Emmy Awards, including "Best Comedy Series."
On April 13, Fey's "30 Rock" co-star Jane Krakowski welcomed her first child, a son named Bennett with fiancé Robert Godley and frequent "30 Rock" guest star Elizabeth Banks recently welcomed a son via a surrogate.
On "30 Rock," Fey plays TV writer Liz Lemon, while Baldwin portrays her boss, Jack Donaghy. The show recently completed its fifth season and has been renewed for a sixth, which will begin midseason due to Fey's pregnancy.
