The incident happened Friday night on the westbound side of the 10 Freeway, east of the Sierra Avenue exit.
Two SUVs turned upsidedown as a result of the collision. Three people in one of the vehicles ran off.
The driver of the other SUV and two children were taken to an area hospital.
Authorities are looking for the driver, who could face felony hit-and-run charges.
