Police need the public's help finding a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a gas station attendant in Van Nuys.

Police say the attendant and a customer got into an argument on Friday night at the Arco gas station in the 15700 block of Victory Boulevard. When the customer tried to drive off, the attendant, 51-year-old Jorge Grimaldi, stood in front of the car.

The customer allegedly drove forward and traveled for almost half a mile with Grimaldi clinging to his hood. Grimaldi eventually fell off and hit the pavement, while the driver fled. He remains on the loose.

Anyone with information is urged to call (877) LAPD-24-7.
