New Zealand's capital gets rare sight of snow

WELLINGTON, New Zealand

The falling flakes disrupted many services, including canceled flights and mail delivery. Some roads were closed and recreational facilities such as libraries and swimming pools were shut in many centers.

Wellington rarely gets snow, and the few inches that fell are the most the city has seen in at least 30 years.

Forecasters expect the cold snap to continue through Wednesday.
