Dame Helen Mirren has laughed off her win of 'Body of the Year,' claiming the honor should have gone to her competition -- Jennifer Lopez.
"I think the voting was rigged in some way," Mirren told USA Today. "It had to have been. JLo is about 1,000 percent more beautiful from the top of her head to her little toe."
The Oscar-winning actress came first in a poll of 2,000 British people, commissioned by the LA Fitness gym chain. Other women who received honors were Elle MacPherson, Lopez and Kate Winslet (See our slideshow of the somewhat surprising celebrities in the 'Body of the Year' poll).
"I'm grateful for small mercies," Mirren joked. "I'll put it that way."
The modest 66-year-old beauty also enjoyed the poll results because her husband, filmmaker Taylor Hackford is working on the film "Parker" with Lopez and Mirren vowed to prove her statement when she visits the film's set.
"When I get on set I am going to have a photo taken next to JLo to show what a terrible mistake they have made," Mirren continued. "I know she will be absolutely gracious and funny about it."
Mirren made news last year when she was photographed looking chiseled in a red bikini. The actress credited walking her dogs, a "good constitution," and her Wii game system for her shapely figure.
"The Wii is fun, and it's infinitely varied. You can hula, jog, yoga, step, all in one session. You need never get bored as every day you can tailor a new workout. It challenges you, and you do it at home, so nobody need see you in those old yoga pants and torn t-shirt. It's my new best friend," Mirren told the Daily Mail in October 2010.
"It's great to see the public celebrating bodies of all shapes and sizes, and proving that you really can look fabulous over 40 and 50," marketing director Tony Orme told Britain's Sky News.
In the male category, David Beckham took the top spot, beating out the likes of Daniel Craig, Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt. See the entire 'Body of the Year' list here .
