Papers show what led to Giovanni Ramirez's arrest in fan beating case

LOS ANGELES

Eyewitness News has obtained copies of the original search and arrest warrants in the case. The documents indicate that three witnesses led police to Ramirez.

Two were friends of Stow who were with him at the time of the brawl, and the third person was a woman who was selling Dodger hair bows in the stadium parking lot.

She said she saw the aftermath of the fight and provided the information that led to the original composite sketch of the suspect.

All three witnesses picked Ramirez out of a police lineup.

Ramirez was exonerated in the case when authorities arrested two other men, 29-year-old Louie Sanchez and 30-year-old Marvin Norwood, in connection to the beating.

Ramirez remains imprisoned on an unrelated parole violation.
