Simi Valley resident Spencer Neminski, 22, was arrested Thursday afternoon while walking the 5000 block of Arroyo Lane. Neminski was charged with lewd/lascivious acts with a minor and was booked at the Ventura County Jail.
The 12-year-old female victim went to the Simi Valley Police Department with her mother Wednesday to report the crime.
The victim told police that on Aug. 11, she met Neminski through friends, and that they agreed to meet that night at his vehicle parked on the 5000 block of Arroyo Lane.
The two engaged in consensual sexual acts in the vehicle, according to police. The girl eventually told an adult neighbor about the encounter, who then told the girl's mother.
