In an exclusive, Dorene Sanchez spoke to Eyewitness News outside of court Friday.
Dorene Sanchez, the sister of one suspect and girlfriend of the other, appeared in court Friday to personally hear that charges will not be filed against her.
Her brother, Louie Sanchez, and her boyfriend, Marvin Norwood, are charged with beating Stow on opening day at Dodger Stadium after a game between the Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants.
In court the judge and the prosecutor told her there were no plans to prosecute her.
Her attorney, Daniel Nardoni, says she had no part in the incident.
"Bittersweet, but a sigh of relief," said Dorene.
Her brother and Norwood face prison terms if they are convicted. It isn't known what part Dorene will play in their prosecution. The two suspects have both pleaded not guilty.
Nardoni earlier told Eyewitness News that Dorene was not required to appear in court Friday to hear the decision.
"She's actually seemed to be really relaxed," said Nardoni. "It was more assuring to her when she found out that last week when there was no filing by the district attorney's office.
"They gave her a slip of paper that the case was rejected by the district attorney's office, and that's about the end of it at this point," said Nardoni.
Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood are scheduled to appear in court at the end of the month for a preliminary hearing.
