Police pursuit ends with fatal crash into Toledo house

TOLEDO, Ohio Toledo police officers were trying to pull that car over for reckless operation. The driver failed to stop, leading officers on a chase.

Lonny Ebersole lives at the home with his wife and kids. His entire family was up late Friday night and are lucky to be alive. Minutes prior to the crash, his kids had wanted to play on the porch with toys. Instead, they decided to watch a movie in different room.

Lonny says minutes later he heard a big boom. Police say the driver of the car, 22-year old Michael Geisen II, took off at a high rate of speed, smashing into the front of Lonny's home.

The impact was so fierce, it split the car. The three people inside were all ejected. Officers say Geisen was killed on impact. Now this home has become a memorial sight for the family of the deceased and Lonny says that is the toughest part.

Two remained hospitalized at St. V's. Kendal Thorn is listed in fair condition and Daniel Clapsaddle remains in critical condition.
