A wildfire forced the closure of Highway 140 and the evacuation of campgrounds, trailer parks and Yosemite employee housing.
But firefighters said the blaze is no longer threatening any communities.
The fire has burned about 5,000 acres since it began last Thursday, and it is about 35 percent contained.
