The Cleveland, Ohio bus driver who is accusing former "LOST" star Matthew Fox of assault, recently spoke out about the alleged attack and claimed the actor smelled of alcohol during the incident.
"He smelled like a liquor cabinet, like a bar," Heather Bormann told Cleveland.com on Monday. "I told him, 'Sorry, buddy, this is a private party. You have to get off my vehicle.' I told him three times. He never said a word. He just looked at me."
The actor was detained on suspicion of assaulting a female driver of a party bus in Cleveland, where he is currently filming "I, Alex Cross." Representatives for the 45-year-old actor had no immediate comment on the incident, which authorities say occurred in a parking lot near a nightclub and bar late on Saturday night. No charges have yet been filed.
According to a police report obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com, the 29-year-old driver told officers that Fox had tried to board the private vehicle, asking for a ride to his hotel.
She said she told him the vehicle was rented out and blocked the entrance to the bus. The driver said the actor then began to "punch her in the chest and stomach area." She said she fought back, punching Fox in the mouth and "causing a cut on his lip." She said a witness, a 24-year-old man, tried to help her.
After that, according to her account given to the website, Fox stumbled into a fence and then wiped blood from his mouth. He allegedly began to attack Bormann a second time when she hit the actor once again, this time in the back of his head with her left hand. The hand was swollen, but not broken, and covered with bandages when she spoke to Cleveland.com.
Fox was not arrested formally and was released "to a friend," after which he took a taxi to his hotel, the police report said. Both he and the driver, a local resident, refused medical treatment.
Bormann, who is a mother of three children, added that "by the time I got home, it was all tears." She said Fox "really scared the crap out of me."
"LOST," a mystery drama series, aired between 2004 and 2010 and was one of ABC's most successful shows at the time. Fox is also known for playing Charlie Salinger, a family's oldest brother and guardian, on the FOX show "Party of Five," which ran between 1994 and 2000.
Fox is set to appear in two movies that are due to be released in 2012 - "I, Alex Cross," with "Conan The Barbarian" actress Rachel Nichols, and "World War Z" with Brad Pitt.
