Vehicle info sought in '10 Long Beach murder

LONG BEACH, Calif.

Franklin Robles, a 33-year-old Lake Elsinore resident, was shot on the 1400 block of West 16th Street in Long Beach on August 9, 2010.

Robles had traveled to Long Beach to purchase a vehicle. According to Long Beach police, two African-American males approached and robbed Robles. Robles was shot in the torso during the robbery.

Robles was declared dead at a hospital.

A witness identified a tan Chevrolet Suburban parked at Robles's Lake Elsinore residence. The residence had been burglarized after the Long Beach shooting.

Police released an image of the type of vehicle they are seeking information about.
