Coffee caffeine boost may all be in your head

According to a new study out of London, that caffeine boost you get from your morning cup of coffee may be all in your head.

You know that caffeine boost you get from your morning coffee? A new study suggests it might be all in your head.

Researchers at University of East London gave study participants coffee they thought contained caffeine, but it was actually decaffeinated coffee.

Even so, researchers noticed an improvement in performance and mood.

Some who drank decaf even performed better in mental tests than those who had caffeine "jolts".

The study is in the journal Appetite.
