The victim's boss called police to report the man missing after he had not been seen or heard from for a few days.
When officers went to the man's second-floor apartment on Le Doux Road near Burton Way, they found his body inside.
Authorities said the victim, who was described to be in his 50s, had been stabbed. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators said there is no clear evidence the stabbing happened during a robbery.
