Kate Hudson's estranged father Bill Hudson has written a tell-all book, which promises to reveal details about his marriage to the actress' mother Goldie Hawn.
The book, titled "2 Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family" is slated for release on November 1 and according to entertainment site Radar Online, Hudson recently called Kate a "spoiled brat" and accused the "Almost Famous" actress of not visiting or calling her dying grandmother, who is currently battling Alzheimer's disease.
"I have called Kate and texted her dozens of times begging her to help her grandmother, but she hasn't responded to me," the musician told Radar Online. "Kate doesn't have to talk to me and she doesn't have to give her a dime of her millions. All I want is for her to call and say, 'Hi grandma' before it's too late."
"I love Kate, but I think she has been contrived and destructive with me and with her other brothers and sisters. She has done stuff which is just awful," Hudson continued. "She is a spoiled brat in my eyes and at the end of the day, she should meet her little sister. I should meet my grandchild and she should help her grandmother."
Hawn and Bill Hudson married in 1976 and had Kate and her brother actor Oliver Hudson together, before getting divorced 18 months after Kate's birth in 1979.
"Life in the spotlight is not without its consequences, and the Hudson family was no exception," reads a statement on the book's website. "Bill Hudson fell in love and married actress Goldie Hawn. After their divorce, Bill found himself in the middle of the controversial issue of parental alienation. His rights as a father to see his children were often played out in the media because Oliver and Kate became actors themselves."
Bill Hudson is best known for being in the band The Hudson Brothers. He married Cindy Williams, of "Laverne & Shirley" fame in 1982. They also had two children, Emily and Zachary Hudson before divorcing in 2000.
Shortly after their divorce, Hawn got together with actor Kurt Russell, who raised Kate and Oliver.
Oliver Hudson is best known for starring as Adam Rhodes in the TV series, "Rules of Engagement."
Meanwhile, Kate Hudson has been vacationing in the South of France with her fiancé Matthew Bellamy and their son Bingham, who was born on July 7.
Hudson, 32, first announced her pregnancy in January and became engaged to boyfriend Matthew Bellamy, the baby's father, in April.
It is the first child for Bellamy, the 33-year-old singer of the British alternative rock band Muse. The two have been linked together since early 2010. The couple has yet to announce a date for their wedding.
The actress had her 7-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson of the rock band the Black Crowes. The two divorced in 2007 after almost seven years of marriage.
