Ashton Kutcher is known as one of the more tech savvy celebrities in Hollywood with a Twitter following of over 7.5 million and a hand in several star-up companies. So when he claims in a new interview that Apple internally calls a new app for the iPhone 5 called "The Kutcher," there might be some truth to it.

The new "Two and A Half Men" star explains to TV Guide that the app is "an in-mail editable text expander."

According to the Apple technology blog TheCultOfMac.com, the app is actually a feature of the new operating system iOS5, which the iPhone 5, as well as other Apple products like the iPod and iPad, will run on when it is released this fall. The app that Kutcher is referring to will allow users type shorthand and expland the shorthand into a full word or a group of words.

Apple had no immediate comment about the app's alleged nickname.

The actor also talked to the magazine about his upcoming debut on "Two and A Half Men" and taking over for Charlie Sheen.

"Moving into somebody else's house is a scary thing," Kutcher said. "Who knew what the dynamic would be and how everybody would feel? I wanted to make sure it was comfortable for everybody else and for myself. And I think we've already found that."

Kutcher is reportedly earning $700,000, making him one of the highest-earning television stars. However, his paycheck falls short of the $1.2 million an episode Sheen made while on the CBS sitcom.

The actor is replacing Sheen in "Two and a Half Men," after the Sheen was fired from the show in March following months of personal turmoil and a slew of on-air rants against the program's co-creator. The new season premieres on September 19, 2011. It was announced in August that Kutcher's character will be a broken-hearted Internet billionaire.

Meanwhile, Sheen's party-loving bachelor character, Charlie Harper, will get a funeral in the series premiere on September 19, reports say.

According to Deadline.com, the season premiere will be a two-part episode and will feature the funeral of Charlie Harper. Harper's girlfriends return to the series for the occasion and the character's Malibu beach house will be put up for sale.

The episode will also reportedly feature cameos by celebrities as well as stars from other shows created by Chuck Lorre as potential buyers of Harper's home, according to the site. Kutcher's character initially appears as someone who might potentially buy the house.
