Gwyneth Paltrow will be playing a sex addict in her upcoming film "Thanks for Sharing."
The actress will star alongside Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins and Joely Richardson in the film which is about a group of sex addicts who bond over their determination to recover from their addiction, according to Variety. The film is described as a dramatic comedy.
Paltrow will play a successful businesswoman who falls for Ruffalo's character. Production on the film is slated to begin this month.
The movie marks the directorial debut of "The Kids Are All Right" co-writer Stuart Blumberg. He co-wrote the script for "Thanks for Sharing."
"I couldn't imagine actors more perfect than Gwyneth, Mark, Tim and Joely for this film, and I can't wait to see them bring these characters to life with their unique and formidable talents," Blumberg said in a statement according to the trade magazine.
The actress is married to Chris Martin, singer of the British rock band Coldplay. The couple are parents to daughter Apple, 6, and son Moses, 5.
Paltrow, 38, will be seen in the upcoming film "Contagion" playing Matt Damon's wife who becomes infected with an airborne virus. The film is set for release on September 9.
