OTRC: Evan Rachel Wood talks about losing tooth: 'I'll never forget my 24th birthday'

Evan Rachel Wood got an unexpected surprise for her 24th birthday when she lost a tooth while out in Paris.

The "True Blood" actress went out the day before her birthday for a little celebration and was elbowed in the face by someone dancing in the night club.

"It was just past midnight and I was dancing with my friends in Paris," She told People magazine about the incident that occurred on September 6. "And just boom, I caught an elbow right in the left side of my face. I knew right away when I closed my mouth that something was really wrong."

Wood was in Europe doing promotion for her upcoming film with George Clooney and Ryan Gosling called "The Ides of March." The political drama is slated for release on October 7, 2011. She also suffered a fat lip from the brush up.

"I was quoting 'The Hangover' and I went, 'Oh my God, I look like a nerdy hillbilly!'" she added. "But the person that did it was crying because they felt so bad."

"I'll never forget my 24th birthday when my tooth got punched out," she said before adding that she considered selling the tooth on eBay but decided "that's just too creepy. I don't think can go there."

In July, the actress released a video of herself covering Justin Bieber's "U Smile" at a karaoke bar in China and Wood also revealed her fandom to "The Ides of March" director Clooney on the film's set.

"[Clooney] was around for when I first saw Never Say Never and I got super into it," Wood told New York Magazine. "I was a changed person. And I was dancing and singing, and then I noticed that the set was really quiet, and then I looked, and the camera was rolling and George is standing there. And he just said, 'Enjoy the DVD!' and he walked away. So that was terrifying."

Wood recently portrayed the vampire queen Queen Sophie-Anne on HBO's popular series "True Blood." The actress has also starred in films like "The Wrestler," and "Thirteen."

In April, Wood came out as bisexual and told Esquire magazine that she is dating a woman. The actress and rock star Marilyn Manson called off their engagement in November 2010.

Manson, 42, and Wood dated between 2006 and 2008. The couple reconciled around late 2009 and in January 2010, he proposed to her during a stage performance in Paris.
