Nicolas Cage told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival of a strange break-in that occurred three years ago involving a naked man and a Fudgesicle.
Cage was promoting his upcoming film, "Trespass" with Nicole Kidman, when he told the press about a home invasion on Wednesday.
"It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year old at the time was in another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed," Cage explained to reporters, according to Reuters. "I know it sounds funny ... but it was horrifying."
Cage went on to say that he talked the man out of his house and police arrived shortly after. The actor did not press charges and said the man had mental problems. Cage said he could not live in the house after the incident and now currently lives in Nassau, Bahamas.
The actor stars in "Trespass" which was directed by Joel Schumacher. In The film, thieves con their way into Cage's character's mansion and take him and his family hostage while they demand he open a safe and hand over cash. The film is set for release on October 14.
Cage's most recent movies, "Season of the Witch" and "Drive Angry 3D" flopped at the box office. Cage won a Best Actor Oscar for his role in the 1995 movie, "Leaving Las Vegas."
Nicolas Cage has been married three times - the first time to Patricia Arquette, then to Lisa Marie Presley and finally to his current wife, former waitress Alice Kim. The couple has one son, 5-year-old Kal-El, who is named after Superman's birth name.
The 47-year-old star was arrested on charges of domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace for being intoxicated in public in New Orleans on April 15. The charges were later dropped.
