Kat Von D and Jesse James have broken up again, a month after announcing that their engagement was back on.
"I am not in a relationship. And I apologize for all the 'back and forth' if it's caused any confusion," Von D wrote in a Facebook post entitled "Odds and Ends," late on Friday evening. "I am not in any way moving to Texas. I am not opening up another tattoo shop. And I am not leaving my shop here in Los Angeles, High Voltage Tattoo."
As recently as September 11, James was singing the praises of Von D, writing on his Tumblr blog that his favorite things about the tattoo artist are "Her beautiful smile, her silly laugh. Her warm heart, and her drive to make the world a better place."
On August 18, Von D and James had announced that their engagement was back-on after breaking up for the first time in July.
"Sometimes you are only given one chance in life," People magazine quoted James as saying in August. "It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her."
Their engagement was announced hours after the cable network TLC announced that it would stop airing Von D's reality show, "LA Ink" in September, more than four years after its debut. The final episode aired on September 15, 2011.
Von D, 28, and James, the 42-year-old ex-husband of actress Sandra Bullock, became engaged earlier this year. In late July, she confirmed the two called it quits.
Von D has said that her high profile relationship with James, who admitted to cheating on Bullock while they were married, caused a lot of "turmoil" with friends and family.
"LA Ink" is depicted the Von D's life as a tattoo artist in Los Angeles. Its ratings have dropped over the past year.
Von D reacted to the news on Twitter, saying: "I love how me deciding to not continue doing 'LA Ink,' turns into being 'canceled.' Thanks @TLC. Regardless of everything I remain grateful."
