Chaz Bono says he's in the "worst shape" after his second performance on "Dancing With The Stars."
The 42-year-old LGBT activist and partner Lacey Schwimmer earned the lowest scores of the night - 17 out of 30 points - for their Quickstep (read a recap of the episode).
"Right now I'm probably in the worst shape," Bono told OnTheRedCarpet.com after their performance. "Hopefully in a couple days I'll be feeling better, and just keep going."
He went on to say that he's still motivated and hopes to continue competing in the show.
"I really want to be here," Bono added. "I'm having a great time and I want to stick around as long as I possibly can. I wanted to do this to challenge myself, and I have - it has been a challenge. I'm not done challenging myself yet."
The two plan to move on to their next dance if they can survive elimination on the second results show of season 13 on Tuesday, September 27, following voting by fans.
"He's positive about his injuries and that's what makes me feel like we can still do this," Schwimmer said following their performance. "We can go for it."
Earlier in the season Bono opened up about the positive support he's been recieving from fans for his participation in the show, following criticism for his casting. Bono was born Chastity Bono but underwent a sex change in 2009. He's the first transgender to appear on the hit dancing show.
