"She's sort of, I kind of think, like the evil queen," Stowe said of her character, Victoria Grayson.
Victoria, the matriarch of the Grayson family, rules the Hamptons' social scene. She appears to have it all as the wife of a billionaire with two beautiful children. But she's hiding a dark secret -- her culpability in the events that destroyed a young girl's life.
Now the girl has returned to Southampton under an assumed identity, Emily Thorne (played by Emily VanCamp), to right the wrongs done to her family 17 years ago.
"There's so much crazy stuff that's going to happen. I mean, when I hear... when we all hear it, our mouths sort of hang open, it's some kind of crazy. Basically, it's like Freud on crack," said Stowe.
The 53-year-old actress is juggling her time on "Revenge" with another project that's dear to her heart. She's stepping out from in front of the camera and going behind the scenes as director of the film, "Unbound Captives."
"Sometimes you just feel like you can break in two, but it's amazing what happens. Life throws you all kinds of strange little curve balls and it's how you roll with it that kind of informs what's going to happen next," said Stowe.
