Giants fan beating suspects appear in court

LOS ANGELES

Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood are facing several charges in the March 31 beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow. They remain behind bars, unable to meet $500,000 bail.

Friday's hearing involved scheduling matters.

There was also a hearing Friday in the Stow family's lawsuit against the /*Los Angeles Dodgers*/. The judge dismissed Stow's two children as plaintiffs but said the multimillion-dollar case could move forward.

The suit claims the Dodgers didn't provide adequate security for fans.

Stow remains hospitalized in San Francisco with brain injuries. His attorneys estimate his medical costs at over $50 million.
