Rancho Cucamonga police deputies were called to a residence on the 6200 block of Taylor Canyon Place Friday to investigate a disturbance Monday.

Deputies determined an underage teenage minor who lived at the residence had been sexually assaulted by 48-year-old Abiathor Stephen Mejico, who resides in the home.

According to police, Mejico has been a travel softball coach and an instructional aide at Pomona High School.

Investigators found another victim who had been living with Mejico and played on his softball team. She told investigators she was drugged and sexually assaulted at the residence when she was a minor.

Mejico was arrested Monday at about 10 a.m. and booked at West Valley Detention Center.

Mejico was held on $100,000 bail and was expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.

Anyone with additional information on Mejico is asked to contact Detective Silvey or Naquin with the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station at (909) 477-2800.
