Several schools in Southern California are participating in the event.
Some school districts are even organizing "walking school buses," where children and adults all walk to school together.
The event is aimed at encouraging students to engage in more physical activity, as well as reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
It's also meant to serve as a reminder for drivers to slow down and look out for students near schools.
