Police arrested Otis Anthony Deaver, 57, on Wednesday at a downtown bank building.
The arrest came just hours after they released surveillance video of him.
Police said Deaver posed as a security guard to steal laptops and other unattended belongings from offices over the past two months.
Police called him the "office creeper" because of the black security guard's jacket he wore in order to enter offices unchallenged during regular working hours.
