'No Bands Bandit' bank robbery suspect arrested

ANAHEIM, Calif.

FBI agents and /*Los Angeles County*/ sheriff's investigators arrested Joseph Kipp, 52, on Thursday in Anaheim.

They said they made the arrest after getting a tip generated from media coverage.

The suspect got the name because he demands cash with no bands attached when he approaches a teller during a holdup.

The FBI said the suspect robbed a U.S. Bank on Wednesday in Hacienda Heights.

Agents said he made the same demands two months ago at a U.S. Bank in Santa Ana, where he showed the teller a weapon beneath his clothing.
