Olivia Wilde is set to return for an episode of "House M.D." on Monday, October 17. The actress will reprise her role as Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley and revealed on Twitter (Spoiler alert!) that the episode is her last on the show.
"Tonight is my last ep of House," The actress wrote on her official Twitter page on Monday. "I'm choked up, but I know Charlene [Yi] and Odette [Annabelle] will rock it."
She later added, "In all seriousness, never start a tweet with 'in all seriousness.' but I mean it when I say THANK YOU 'HOUSE' FANS I LOVE YOU SO MUCH."
The actress first appeared on the series in September 2007. The character's arc often involves her Huntington's disease diagnosis and mortality. The actress' movie career began to skyrocket in 2009 with roles in "Year One," "TRON: Legacy," "Cowboys & Aliens" and "The Change-Up." The actress also has a role in "In Time" starring as Justin Timberlake's mother. That film is set to be released on October 28.
An official synopsis for the episode, called "Charity Case," states that Wilde's character's "guilt conflicts with her pursuit of personal happiness." The episode also features "Prison Break" actor Wentworth Miller as the show's patient of the week.
"There's a few good reasons for her not to be working anymore as a doctor," Wilde told E! News about her character last week. "She's had a disease for a number of years and she doesn't necessarily have that many years left. At this point she's struggling with that dilemma."
"But of course it's always up to House," She added. "No matter how much he drives them crazy, he's still the most compelling and dynamic person to work for. And ultimately, it's resolved for her."
Though the actress is moving on to bigger projects she said, "My work has gotten so much better from being on the show and learning from Hugh [Laurie] and all the other actors." She continued,"It's a strange feeling thinking I won't be coming here every morning, but all I feel is gratitude. My film career is thanks to 'House'."
Wilde's divorce from her husband of eight years, Italian prince Tao Ruspoli, was finalized earlier this month. The 27-year-old actress filed for divorce in March and received the final judgment on September 29, according to documents obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Wilde's appearance airs on Monday, October 17, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
