Carson Kressley says dressing as a cheerleader can be checked off of his bucket list.
The 41-year-old television host and fashion expert, and partner Anna Trebunskaya, 30, channeled the 80s and received a score of 19 out of 30 from the judges for their Jive in week five of ABC's hit celebrity ballroom dancing series (read recap). The pair earned the lowest score for the evening, and were the only team to not score in the 20s.
"We are disappointed with our scores, but we are not disappointed with our dances," Kressley told OnTheRedCarpet.com after the performance. "We're not disappointed how anything has gone. We support all of our cast mates. We're having a great time.
We try to entertain people and, you know, keep it high energy and give them some choreography, tell a story, give them humor and have fun," he added.
Kressley went on to describe how his "dreams have been realized" after his many experiences and costumes on "Dancing with the Stars."
"So many of my dreams have been realized," Kressley said. "I got to dress as cheerleader and do cheerleading moves, and do a cartwheel in front of 22 million people. Let me check this off my bucket list -- done!"
Contestant J.R. Martinez, known for his work in the army and roles in television shows such as "All my Children," and professional partner Karina Smirnoff earned the top score of 28 out of 30 for their Samba. The pair also received the second perfect 10 of the season; the first was given to Ricki Lake and Derek Hough in week four.
"We did not deserve two sixes," Kressley added. "When you do ambitious choreography, and you're doing cartwheels and upside down splits, I mean, come on, give us some extra snaps for that."
The eight remaining pairs return on Tuesday, October 18 for an elimination episode where the fifth couple is expected to be sent packing.
