Shia LaBeouf was reportedly involved in a violent confrontation near a bar in Canada last week, although the actor has not commented about the incident.
A video posted on TMZ shows what it says is the 25-year-old "Transformers" actor lying on the sidewalk as a shirtless man punches him in the head. A person on crutches uses one of them to shoo away the assailant. Both men involved in the confrontation appear intoxicated. Two men are then seen gently restraining the man the website says is LaBeouf in an apparent bid to stop him from retaliating.
The incident took place outside Cinema Public House, a popular Vancouver bar, on Friday, the website said, quoted unnamed sources as saying that LaBeouf and the shirtless man became involved in an argument inside the venue and were thrown out by security guards. The actor's spokesperson had no immediate comment.
LaBeouf's latest movie, "The Company You Keep," is filming in the Canadian city and the actor has been spotted around town in recent weeks. The movie, a thriller that also stars Robert Redford and Susan Sarandon, began production in mid-September.
LaBeouf was also involved in a confrontation at a bar near Los Angeles in February. He was handcuffed and released. No charges were filed. Last year, LaBeouf was also captured on camera throwing a cup of coffee on a celebrity photographer in Washington D.C., where he had been filming the third "Transformers" film, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."
