Linda Cardellini, known for her roles on the shows "Freaks and Geeks" and "ER," is expecting her first child.
She and boyfriend Steven Rodriguez plan to welcome their baby in early 2012, People magazine reported on Tuesday, October 18. Cardellini has not commented.
The 36-year-old actress rose to fame playing rebellious teenager Lindsay Weir on the short-lived teen comedy series "Freaks and Geeks," which aired for one season in 1999 and also starred James Franco, Jason Segel, Seth Rogen and Busy Phillips.
Earlier this year, Cardellini reunited with several of her former cast members at a Los Angeles event honoring the show, which has become a cult favorite (see video).
Cardellini also played Lauren on the teen series "Boy Meets World" in 1998, Velma in the "Scooby-Doo" movies and Nurse Samantha Taggart on the medical drama series "ER" between 2003 and 2009.
