Chaz Bono talks about his low score on "Dancing With The Stars," and says that he feels he's "not being treated fairly."
The 42-year-old LGBT activist and partner Lacey Schwimmer, 23, received 19 out of 30 from the judges for their Broadway-inspired Tango in week six of ABC's hit celebrity ballroom dancing series (read recap). The pair earned the lowest score of the evening.
"I feel like I've been getting low scores all season, markedly lower than a lot of people," Bono told OnTheRedCarpet.com after the performance. "I felt like tonight was the icing on the cake. I'm just being honest."
Bono went on to express his disappointment in the judging.
"Feeling like you're not treated fairly starts to get old," Bono added. "Like I said, I feel like I'm getting markedly lower scores than other people."
Schwimmer also voiced some distress in regard to their low score.
"For some people to get nines that definitely don't deserve it is kind of a slap in the face for everyone who is actually doing dance content - and doing well," Schwimmer added.
Schwimmer spoke up about fellow dance professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy's outburst.
"Generally speaking, Maks has the courage to say a lot of what a lot of the other people on the show don't have the courage to say -- so good for him," Schwimmer added.
Contestant J.R. Martinez, known for his work in the military and roles in television shows such as "All my Children," and professional partner Karina Smirnoff tied with television personality Ricki Lake and partner Derek Hough for the top score of 29 out of 30 for their Quicksteps. Both pairs received scores consisting of two 10s and a nine.
Bono turned to Twitter to express his disappointment.
"Thanks to everyone 4 the supportive tweets," Bono Tweeted. "Tonight was rough; I thought @LaceySchwimmer did a good job. Scores were very disappointing."
The seven remaining pairs will return on Tuesday, October 25 for an elimination episode where the sixth couple is expected to be sent packing.
