'Revolutionary' Lytro camera uses new technology

LOS ANGELES

The boxy Lytro Light Field Camera uses what is called "light field technology" that is supposed to take sharper, more vibrant pictures.

"On the camera it means that you get a really fast response. So, you click the shutter, [and you get an] instant shutter response, it takes the picture right away because you don't have to wait for it to focus," said Ren Ngo, CEO of Lytro.

The new cameras come in three models and start at $399.
