A parolee was arrested after leading LAPD officers on a high-speed chase through San Pedro on Wednesday morning.

Officers tried to stop the driver at Western Avenue and 19th Street, but he wouldn't pull over. When officers ran the license plate, they found that the vehicle was registered to a wanted man on parole.

The man jumped on the Harbor (110) Freeway, weaving in and out of traffic. He finally got off the freeway near Gaffey and South Figueroa streets.

The suspect stopped the car and took off running. He was tackled underneath the freeway, suffering some cuts to his face.

An officer also suffered some kind of leg injury during the foot chase.
